The best-known beach on Nijhum Dwip and the island's favourite place to watch the sun go down. A wooden walkway runs out over the sand with a shelter halfway along, where visitors sit through the last of the afternoon light. Several small resorts stand just behind the beach.
How to get there
A commonly used mainland route crosses from Chairman Ghat in Noakhali to Nalchira on Hatiya, followed by local road and water transport. Vessel type and departure can change with weather, tide, navigability and official restrictions; confirm locally on the day and follow current safety notices.
