Nijhum Dwip
Nijhum Dwip is a cluster of young chars built by sediment in the shallow Meghna estuary south of Hatiya's main island. Forest Department afforestation created a keora-dominated mosaic of coastal mangrove, canal, mudflat and grassland. Spotted deer and waterbirds are its best-known wildlife, but sightings depend on tide, season and quiet observation and are never guaranteed.
Best time to visit: November – February (winter)
